Some WIP hi-res Lighting II screenshots

Above are some screenshots of the F-35 AA-1 taken while I was testing the flight model. It is pretty hard to tell if it is "right", as, obviously, Lockheed Martin test pilots keep on saying it is an oustanding aircraft with excellent performance and maneuverability... but on the other hand, many "experts" in the internet are extremely critical on the plane performance - and the whole JSF project (I guess some of that hate comes from the fact that the F-35 will replace the F-16 which is an extremely successful and popular model)...
Anyway, I am pretty happy with the flight model. It needs some work but it is a good start.
The cockpit is suffering some delay... but I think it will be ready in 2-3 weeks.

Mr. Dino Cattaneo,

Looking Great!!! Keep up the good work. :)

Ciao!

PS: I'm having trouble with your website's donation function; sent you a couple of emails about it, a while back. Any ideas?

I would like to donate some money for your F-35 model. When will it be complete? I need it as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Jim

All, thanks for your interest in the F-35 project.

As it seems there may be some confusion on this, please note that the F-14 and T-45 projects are freeware, while the F-35 will be PAYWARE (dare I say "cheapware" -in the good sense- price has not been set but will be definitely low).

So, donations are welcome for the T-45 and F-14, while F-35 is another story.

The external model of the F-35 is ready and so is the flight model. They just need some testing.

The cockpit is 30-35% complete. Release date: it is done when it is done, but late october / mid November is my best guess as of today.

@Mr James F. Chams
- you can call me Dino. Mr.Cattaneo is my father :-)
- I was not able to replicate your issue so far. AFAIK Donate button worked for other users...

I hope that this doesn't mean that it will NOT be a really good functioning model, because it is cheap. I want it to blow the socks off of ANY Military Payware Addon (and PLEASE DON'T use IRIS' one as a comparison; use CaptainSim's, PMDG, or Aerosoft's instead). Grazie!

I discovered what the ISSUE with the donation was; it was an issue with the PayPal system wanting me to have an account or recognizing that I have an account, etc. and requiring that I log in or something along those lines. But, I took care of that requirement with their staff. So, hopefully, in the next 48 hours or so I can contribute.

OK, if you insist, Dino. But that means that you have to refer to me as Mr. James F. Chams instead of James. LOL :-)

Ciao! ;)

Hey Dino that looks fantastic! I happen to live right by where the first squadron of F-35s will be stationed. Eglin AFB in Florida will be the Air Forces primary training base for F-35 pilots and crew. At the base they recently held a ceremony to re-designate one of the F-15 fighter squadrons to an F-35 training squadron (the 33rd FW "Nomads"). Here is a picture of a model with what the tail markings will look like. Hopefully you can make this texture with your model!
